For those who view the Private Investor Club website.
 

Internet user privacy and confidentiality is of the utmost importance to the Private Investor Club (PIC). Its reputation and integrity is directly related to how it serves its web customers. 

 

As a result, PIC openly volunteers its practices of collecting information, its targeting capabilities, and its use of cookies. 

 

Normal Viewing Information

 

PIC does collect information which is specific to how you use the site. PIC servers note details such as the server you are logged onto, the geographic location of the ISP you use, the type of browser you use, and your IP address. This information is obtained solely for the purpose of targeting ads and measuring a given ads effectiveness on behalf of Real Estate Crowd Investing Review clients and customers.

 

The Cookie Principle

 

PIC uses cookies to improve your Web browsing experience. When you first come to the site, PIC assigns a unique random number to your computer browser - commonly known as a "cookie."  This cookie is used to maintain your personal settings.  Cookies are not used to store personal information about you.

Security and fraud prevention. 

To protect our registration and forum sign-up from automated abuse (bots and spam), we use third-party security services — like Cloudflare Turnstile and Google reCAPTCHA— which process technical information about your browser and device to distinguish human visitors from automated traffic. This data is used solely for security and fraud prevention, not for advertising.
 

 

Email addresses and Demographic Information given to PIC

 

Users who sign up for and use advanced features of PIC may be asked for additional information including email address and demographic information. If a user signs up for an opt-in email list, they will always be given the opportunity to opt out of it at any time, using a link at the bottom of the email.
 

We collect personal information that you provide directly to us:

 

Contact information. If you sign up to receive our newsletter, emails, or text messages from us, we will collect your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and any other information needed to contact you about the Services.

 

Payment information. To order products or services through the Services, you will need to provide us with payment information (like your bank account or credit card information). Please note that your financial information is collected and stored by a third party payment processing company. Use and storage of that information is governed by the third party payment processor’s applicable privacy policy.

 

Survey information. You may provide us with other personal information when you fill in a form, respond to our surveys or questionnaires, provide us with feedback, participate in promotions, or use other features of the Services.

 

Communications information. We may also collect other information during our communications with you, including information that you send to us when interacting with our customer service agents, or when you call us or send emails or text messages. This may include information about how you contacted us, your marketing preferences, and other information that you choose to share.

The effective date of this policy is March 5th, 2019.  The category of all third party providers fall under the category do not fall under advertisers. This policy is subject to update and change. Notification of substantial and material changes will be posted on the site blog.

Advertising, Analytics, and Data Sharing with Google
 

We use Google services — including Google Analytics and Google Ads — to understand how visitors find and use our sites and to measure and improve the effectiveness of our advertising. As part of this, we share certain information with Google as described below.
 

Site analytics and conversion tracking. Our websites use Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking, which use cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how you arrived at our site, and whether you completed an action such as submitting a membership application. This helps us understand which ads and pages are effective.
 

Hashed customer data shared with Google. To measure our advertising more accurately and to reach people similar to our members, we may share a limited amount of the information you provide to us — most commonly your email address — with Google. Before it is shared, this information is converted into an irreversibly "hashed" (one-way encrypted) form, so that Google does not receive your email address in a readable form. Google uses this hashed data only to (a) match advertising clicks to membership applications and approvals so that we can measure the effectiveness of our advertising ("enhanced conversions"), and (b) build audiences of people who share characteristics with our members ("Customer Match"). We share only first-party data — information you provided directly to us — and we do not share data about anyone under the age of 13, nor any sensitive personal information.
 

How Google uses this data. Google processes this information in accordance with its own privacy policy and the disclosures available at "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services (https://google.com/policies/privacy/partners).
 

Your choices. You can control how Google personalizes ads to you at any time at adssettings.google.com, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You may also ask us to exclude your information from these advertising features, or make any other privacy request, by responding to the email address on your welcome email or through our contact form at https://www.therealestatecrowdfundingreview.com/contact .

For PIC private investment funds


We are providing this notice to certain of our investors in order to inform you of our privacy policies and practices with respect to your non-public personal information. In connection with the formation and ongoing activities of our private investment funds, we collect and maintain non-public personal information about our investors from the following sources:

 

  1. information we receive from you on subscription agreements, investor questionnaires or other forms that you submit to us, or contracts that you enter into with us;

  2. information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others; and

  3. information obtained from meetings and telephone conversations with you.
       

We may disclose such non-public personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law and in accordance with the agreements governing your investment in our private funds, including:

 

  1. other service providers to our investment funds, such as accounting, fund administration, legal, or tax preparation services;

  2. other partners and potential investors in our investment funds; and

  3. transfer agents, portfolio companies, brokerage firms and the like, in connection with distributions to our limited partners.
     

Information Safeguarding Policy

 

The General Partner restricts access to non-public personal information about you to those of its Employees and agents who need to know the information to enable the General Partner to provide its services to you. The General Partner maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards reasonably designed to guard your non-public personal information while it is within our control.

Code of Ethics: To remove conflicts of interest that are rife on other sites/clubs, I / we do NOT accept any money from outside sponsors or platforms for ANYTHING. This includes but is not limited to: no money for postings, nor reviews, nor tutorials, nor guides, nor advertising, nor affiliate leads etc. Nor do I negotiate special terms for myself above what I negotiate for the benefit of members.

For clarity: I do receive monetary compensation in two ways: via donations or a club feeder. Site members can send donations (and a $200 donation entitles them to access my personal low-level due diligence notes on investments I've put money into). And if the club chooses to create a feeder, I take a fee as manager (and keep the excess beyond expenses). Very occasionally a sponsor may choose to reimburse some of the costs of creating a feeder as well. Additionally I receive the same non-monetary compensation all club members do: Access to otherwise inaccessible sponsors, millions of dollars of special deals and discounts, the satisfaction of giving back and helping others, and more.
